Genuinely artistic: greeting card

A Dutch post-impressionist painter, Vincent Willem van Gogh is one of the most famous and influential figures in the history of Western art. In addition to his talent with a brush, Van Gogh was also skilled with the written word. Most of his writing took the form of letters to his beloved younger brother, Theo, who encouraged and financially supported his artistic efforts. This particular verse was written in a letter dated September 18, 1888, translated from French "je sens qu’il n’y a rien de plus réellement artistique que d’aimer les gens." May his words serve as a gentle reminder of what's most important.
